Ed Tetreault
Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Ed is instrumental in helping to develop strong leaders, engage associates and build the right talent, capabilities and rewards to win in a changing, global marketplace.

Prior to joining Apex Tool Group’s executive staff in February 2012, Ed was the Executive Vice President and CHRO for Exide Technologies, a publicly traded global company with $3B+ in sales. His diverse industry experience includes senior leadership positions with General Electric, Merck & Co., and Ingersoll Rand.

Ed brings nearly 25 years of global human resources and leadership experience, aligning organization and people practices with corporate strategies, goals and values. He has expertise managing all HR-related functions across 40+ countries and 5 continents, partnering with business leaders to design and execute strategies to enhance talent acquisition, talent management, total rewards, change leadership, organizational effectiveness and culture, and leadership coaching and development.

He began his career in the public sector, and spent six years as a management attorney and labor negotiator. He’s co-authored three books and has had numerous articles published on a variety of labor and employee relations topics. He earned his law degree from Pace University School of Law, and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.

Ed’s favorite thing about working in the tool industry:

Our more than 8,000 dedicated associates bring innovation and productivity to the experienced pro making life-saving products – and the do-it-yourselfer like me who’s just trying to do a simple weekend task!

David Ling
President, Asia Pacific Hand Tools

David is accountable for leading the management team and has P&L responsibility, which includes both commercial and manufacturing activities.

Prior to the Apex Tool Group joint venture, David was president of Danaher Tool Group in Asia.  He has more than 30 years experience in the hand tool industry, including serving as Vice President and General Manager of Danaher Tool Group, Asia. David also founded Lea Way Hand Tool Corporation and served as general manager for several years until the company was acquired by Danaher in 1981.

David holds a Bachelor's Degree in Navigation from Marine University in Taiwan.

David’s favorite thing about working in the tool industry:

With over 30 years and counting of working in the hand tool industry, I’ve really grown to love the work environment at ATG. I am driven every day by our efforts to continuously pursue innovation, whether large or small, in order to make a tool that is better and easier to use by our customers. There’s much more than meets the eye in the design and development of a wrench.

Martin Kuerzinger
President, Power Tools

Martin is charged with leading the global power tools business with both commercial and manufacturing responsibilities.

Prior to the Apex Tool Group joint venture, Martin was Vice President and General Manager of the communications and enterprise group for Danaher in the Asia Pacific Region. He brings more than 22 years of experience fueling growth in international and domestic markets. His global experience includes senior level positions in multiple industries in Europe and North America. He also worked with Tektronix and Siemens Corporation.

Martin holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications from the Technical University Munich in Germany.

John P. Constantine
President, North America Hand Tools - Commercial

John leads the North American Hand Tools business – with heavy emphasis on sales, marketing and product development.

Prior to the Apex Tool Group joint venture, John served as president of Danaher's commercial operations. He joined Danaher in 2004 as President of its consumer tools business. Before joining Danaher, John held management and marketing leadership positions with Newell Rubbermaid and Black & Decker.

John holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor's Degree from Loyola University in Maryland.

John’s favorite thing about working in the tool industry:

The tool industry is blessed with an enthusiastic end user base that simply can’t get enough news and information on tools. If we offer a new idea, or a better spin on an old idea, our end users immediately recognize its benefit and look to add it to their tool collection. Whether they are professional tool users or DIY enthusiasts, or whether they have 1,000 tools in their box or 10 – innovation and new ideas always interest them.
